Regd No. 807128
1935 registration
Jules Lang & Son 14/Oct/1935
Pressed glass tumbler, moulded marks "REGD No. 807128" which reads in reverse from bottom.
Tumbler also found with a simple engraved floral decoration. Square or octagonal base design.
Dealer Tony Hayter reports, “I have sold about six different pieces with Jules Lang registrations. He started off in London in the 1880’s in partnership with Jonas Lang and their first glass registration (and the only lozenge one) was in February 1883. They were based in Charterhouse buildings in London and were listed as Pottery and Glass Merchants. I believe that they were only retailers and based on their glass that I've handled I believe they were importing from France and registering the designs in England.”
